Hello Shiraz Lovers
Continuing the theme of last month’s newsletter—hasn’t the weather been crazy so far this Spring! Many parts of Australia have seen record high October temperatures, and here at Talbots Block we’ve been getting late season frosts as recently as last week. Doesn’t seem to be worrying our vines though—their springtime shoot growth phase is in full swing, and they’re looking good.
While the early burst of heat hasn’t been much of an issue for our vines it does give us pause to think about something even more important—the impact of hot weather on our drinking enjoyment.
To enjoy Talbots Block Shiraz at its best it’s vital to serve it (and store it) at the right temperature. This is something to always keep in mind on really hot days, especially if you’re drinking outdoors. About 15 degrees C is the ideal wine temperature for best drinking—which might mean you have to chill it for a while before serving.
Stock up. Putting aside the somewhat technical discussion of wine drinking, if you simply want to get on with your springtime drinking now is a great time to refresh your supplies of the latest vintages of The Prince and The Sultan. Both these big, luscious, smooth finishing Shirazes are drinking as beautifully as ever at the moment.
So why not shop online now and apply Coupon Code FOT13 to get 20% off RRP*. Make sure you place your order before 30 October to meet our next shipping deadline.
Cheers
The Talbots
