Without doubt—it’s certainly one of our best ever vintages, if not our best; with superb growing conditions delivering the finest fruit we could have wished for.
The Sultan always stands out for its rich, powerfully concentrated dark fruit flavour, silky textural mouthfeel, and soft smooth finish.
Given 18 months maturing in French and American oak barrels (35% new French) the 2018 vintage is unmistakably true to the classic Sultan characteristics, but is distinguished by its rich, luscious blackcurrant notes. While you could safely cellar for 20 years or more—why not simply enjoy its pleasures now.
