The Talbots Block dragon is a symbol of power and status.
The dragon is derived from centuries old ornamental statues associated with the Batak people of North Sumatra, Indonesia. Historically, Batak rulers and elites used these small hollow ornaments to store and carry medicine. Over time, through association with the noble classes that used the dragon for medicinal purposes, it became widely recognised as a potent symbol of power and status.
Perhaps over time people will also associate Talbots Block shiraz drinkers with power and status. Without doubt, our drinkers will be readily identified as people who know their wines, with a highly discerning taste for premium quality shiraz.
